Refuah (Holistic Health)

Our outreach ministry (Refuah) conducts activities predominantly for the black community in Toronto, surrounding areas, and the Kitchener, Waterloo, and Cambridge (KWC) area. As an organization centred on biblical principles, we passionately center our mission on 3 John 1:2, which states, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” The World Health Organization states, “Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”

Our mission is to ensure the prosperity of the soul through bible teaching, prayer, prophesy, and deliverance and to improve the physical, mental, and social well-being of the black communities we serve. To improve the physical, mental, and social well-being we provide:

• Non-perishable food and hygiene supplies to black residents in vulnerable situations in North York and the KWC.
• Quarterly breakfast sessions for women and girls mostly blacks with discussions around empowerment, leadership, and well-being to promote gender equality.
• Distribution of school supplies to black children and youth at the beginning of each school year since 2015.
• Establishment of a STEM program.
